Pomodoro Technique
Based on a decomposition of concentration moment into periods of 20min. These short periods are separated by 5min breaks.
Regular breaks promote intellectual agility and their benefits on our memory have been observed experimentally.
Studeo breaks down chapters into sub-parts of about 20 minutes, and also allows students to time their attempts at solving exercises to get into a condition of intense concentration and prepare for what happens during their exams !
Spaced Repetition
Based on the observation that we often forget what we have learned. Forgetting is rarely total, and if we learn again what we have already learned, we forget less quickly. If we intersperse reminders at studied intervals, we get glaring results.
Regular reminders make it possible to retain 80% of what we have learned 6 months earlier for a long time, well beyond the 15% observable in normal times.
